The Mudroom

A mudroom is a transitional space in a home, typically located near an entrance from the outside or garage, designed to contain dirt, mud, and clutter from outdoor activities and gear. It provides a designated area to take off muddy shoes and wet coats, store them, and keep outdoor grime from entering the main living areas.Often equipped with storage like shelves, hooks, and benches, a mudroom functions as a practical and organized entryway, helping to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the house.

About

Hi I’m Darin…I was born in 1990 and grew up Amish in Arthur, Illinois, I’m third oldest of ten children. All my siblings are now married, which means my parents have a large and ever-growing number of grandchildren. Though I've since left the Amish community, I still enjoy spending time with my siblings, nieces, and nephews. In 2011, I married my wonderful wife, Sue Ann. Together, we have four beautiful children: Karissa, Kaitlyn, Austin, and Kiara. In 2017, we shifted from the Amish community and joined the Mennonite Church community.

My father started a furniture manufacturing company in 1993, so I've spent my entire life in the woodworking industry and it is easy to say that I have learnt a great deal of impeccable, high quality skills to design and produce beautiful furniture that I’m incredibly proud of. It’s always a delight to see the positive reactions from our clients when they see the end result come to life.

After finishing eighth grade at an Amish school, I began working full-time at my father's shop at the young but skilled age of 14. I've always enjoyed meeting new people and had a strong desire to be an entrepreneur, start my own business and make it a success. I started off in 2015, by launching a Murphy Bed and furniture sales company, sales expanding all over the Midwest. I later sold that business to start my current business venture,

a successful kitchen sales company.

I often partner with my Amish brother-in-law, who owns a cabinet shop, as well as other Amish shops in the area. We collaborate with many designers and contractors throughout the Midwest, Michigan, and Florida. You’re also able to purchase directly from us if you're not already working with someone.

As a Christian company, I always strive to serve the Lord first, with selling cabinets being a close second. Talk soon and stay blessed!

Matthew 6:33

"But Seek First His Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you"

How Our Process Works

1

Reach Out To Us

Feel free to reach out to us using the email address provided below in the contact section to communicate to us your existing plans and your desired outcome for your project for us to be able to understand what you are looking to accomplish for your beautiful home.

2

In-Person Consultation

If the project is starting from scratch, I (or one of our designers) will visit your project in person to develop the plan of action for your project in mind. This includes taking measurements and photos of the space as well as my team creating a rendering image using Chief Architect. This will provide a realistic real life image of project end result. Quote will be shared with client.

3

Project Implementation

At this stage the project plan is client approved, the first 50% is collected and production is locked in. We will collect the remaining 50% when the product is delivered to job site (of after installation if we are installing the product).
